Sailing in the Caribbean is about big fun, big business and big sponsors. All three come together during the Spring Regatta Season. The Caribbean Regatta Series highlights key moments from each race along with a "behind the scenes" look into the glitter of the regatta events, the salty character of the sailors and the collected group of family members, fellow sailors and yacht club groupies. And of course a big feature of the sailing tour is the beautiful footage of the exotic Caribbean locales.
The series includes The St. Croix Regatta, The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, The British Virgin Islands Regatta, and The St. Thomas Rolex Regatta in the US Virgin Islands and culminates with the Antigua Rolex Sailing Week and Regatta. The Antigua Regatta is one of the premiere races in the world. High profile racing teams from around the world attend every year. One of the premiere teams we will cover within the series is the Pindar Racing team out of the UK. And in addition to the competitive race there is a classic sailing yacht series that features some of the most historic and majestic sailing yachts from around the world.
But the Regatta season is much more than just the sailing or the races. This is the Caribbean and the mix of cultures; money and exotic locales blend together to create an enticing mix that is fun to watch. The drink of choice in the Caribbean is rum and there is always plenty of it. The St. Croix Regatta provides the winning captain of the regatta his weight in Cruzan Rum. Another associated feature of the program series will be the best Caribbean waterfront bar. One such bar is Foxy's Bar in the British Virgin Islands; it is a sight to behold. People sail and boat from around the Caribbean and the world to the BVI to pull their boat right up to the bar on the waterfront.

Who We Are
Each sailing yacht and their teams have distinct characteristics and personalities and we will follow the top teams and some of the bottom teams to get the entire feel of each regatta.
One of the featured teams and Captains include John Foster and his currently resurrected boat "The Good, the Bad & the Ugly." This boat was left for dead in the weeds of Red Hook Bay on St. Thomas. He has drug this boat out of the murky depths and crafted it into a fine sailing vessel once again. Last year Foster captained the "Magnificent Seven" in the J/27 class and led them to victory in the St. Croix Regatta. He is also a former Olympian with the US Virgin Islands Sailing Team..
Another featured team will be Tom Hill and is perennial winner "Titan XII" of Puerto Rico. This boat and team one three of the CORT races last year and many of his crew members have participated in the Olympics as well as the Americas Cup.
