Formula 1 boats are the nautical counterpart of Formula 1 racecars... minus the brakes! A mere 12 feet long and 850 pounds, these hi-tech composite racers literally fly on top of the water. At 140 mph, the only things anchoring an F1 boat are the tips of two sponsons and the blades of a propeller spinning at nearly 10,000 rpm. Heart-stopping flips are common, disaster lurks in every corner, and adrenaline pumping action is guaranteed. No wonder the races are attended by thousands of spectators and watched on TV by millions more world-wide.
Hosted by Steve Michael, the "Voice of F1," and 3-time F1 World Champion, Jonathan Jones, F1 World Championship Preview is a half-hour magazine format show that brings you the electrifying world of F1 racing from an insider's perspective. Included are previews and recaps of the races along with driver interviews, a look at the boats, video postcards from the host cities, and prognostications from F1 experts.
