Aqua Kids

About the Show
The Aqua Kids have an ambitious agenda, one that surely ranks among our planet’s most critical: saving the oceans of the world. On that quest, Aqua Kids’ bright-eyed explorers discover the wonders of the sea and its amazing creatures—and the forces that threaten their survival.

They learn that abuse of our planet’s natural resources has wiped out entire species of fish. Visiting the beach, the multicultural crew discovers that man is a major contributor to the destruction, that marine mammals are dying from ingesting discarded plastic, and that chemical waste in our waterways is wiping out marine habitats and the creatures that live there.

This is education that goes down easy—as involving for parents as it is for kids. Led by energetic, fun-loving hosts Phil Moore and Bilal Bahar, Aqua Kids teaches, never preaches. Just as important, viewers learn how they can help turn the devastation around.

The Aqua Kids mission is supported by prestigious groups like the National Aquarium, in Washington, D.C.; Maryland’s North Bay Adventure Camp; the Chesapeake Bay Foundation; and many more eco-positive organizations.

Be sure your whole family watches Aqua Kids, an innovative series that’s entertaining and educational, with a message that’s vital and proactive.
Cast and Crew
Molly Molly
Molly was born in Maryland 18 years ago. Currently, she’s a college student in New York State. This bright and bubbly redhead has been an Aqua Kid for seven years, and she absolutely adores animals—so much so that last summer she traveled to the Florida Keys to study dolphins. She even learned scuba diving so she can swim with the fishes. Molly loves singing and acting, and her guilty pleasure—Sour Patch Kids candy. She says she’s inspired most by her supportive parents and by her best friend, her younger brother.
Farith Farith
Farith was born in Lima, Peru, and moved to the U.S. when he was 16. His biggest loves are nature and wildlife. Farith is a welcome addition to the Aqua Kids, because saving the aquatic environment is his strongest passion; he even has an aquatic environment in his home, a 55-gallon saltwater aquarium that he cares for with lots of love—and lots of time. Farith also likes to play soccer and totally loves playing his guitars. So far, he has three of them!
Natasha Natasha
Natasha is 13 and lives in Maryland with her parents and her little brother. Her favorite things to do include hanging out by the pool, swimming, and shopping with her friends. Like all of the Aqua Kids, Natasha loves animals—she has two hermit crabs that she says are fun to take care of. Although she’s excited to be a member of the Aqua Kids team, Natasha’s not too thrilled about one thing—their plan to swim with sharks!
Christopher Christopher
Christopher is 12 and was born in Maryland. This is his first year as an Aqua Kid, and his favorite thing is exploring the natural world. He also enjoys caring for his captive-bred reptiles (two snakes and two lizards) and would like to expand his collection—if his mom lets him! Christopher loves playing soccer for his club team, especially goalkeeping. He also loves inventing scary decorations and contraptions for his favorite holiday: Halloween. Someday Christopher would like to check out the environment in far-away Australia.
Kara Kara
Kara is a 12-year old Maryland daredevil who has loved animals since she was a toddler. An outstanding defensive player on her travel soccer team, a top defensive basketball guard, and a freestyle swimmer on her neighborhood team, Kara is involved in sports year-round. Somehow, this busy girl finds time for her other obsessions: rock climbing, PlayStation 2, visiting friends, and learning about animals. At home, she helps with chores and takes care of her retired racing greyhound, Midnight. Kara loves the outdoors and marine biology, and looks forward to all the adventures awaiting her as the newest member of the Aqua Kids.
Eric Eric
Eric is 11, and his love of sports means he’s a busy guy, playing football, basketball, and soccer. That doesn’t mean this Maryland athlete doesn’t have time to care about animals—he takes every opportunity to learn all he can about his favorite creatures: dolphins. It may not be obvious, since Eric is such a skinny guy, but when he’s not involved in sports or studying dolphins or being an Aqua Kid—more than anything, he loves to eat! When he grows up (and out), Eric wants to be a doctor.
Steven Steven
Steven is 11 and lives in Maryland. Like a lot of kids, he loves to play football and basketball. Unlike a lot of kids, Steven is a second-degree black belt in tae kwon do! Besides practicing his martial art, he likes to jump on his mountain bike and explore new trails. Steven loves being an Aqua Kid because Aqua Kids are explorers, too—discovering oceans full of adventure and fascinating sea life.
Drew Drew
Drew is 7 going on 25 (according to his mom). Even though he thinks he’s an adult, the youngest Aqua Kid still lives with his mother, father, and sister in Maryland. Mom and Granddad come from a radio and TV background—and, as the saying goes, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. This natural-born performer loves to travel and swim. Drew is doing a good job saving the environment with his favorite hobby: collecting broken junk!
Phil Phil
A Baltimore native, Phil is an award-winning host best known for his work on Nickelodeon TV. This high-energy talent has been with Aqua Kids for four years, and won an Emmy for hosting the Aqua Kids pilot. Phil currently lives in Los Angeles and writes for several TV shows. Whether he’s putting words in other people’s mouths or bouncing across the screen with the Aqua Kids, this human Energizer Bunny just keeps going and going and going and going....
Bilal Bilal
Bilal is a Baltimorean with a natural gift—he’s absolute magic with kids. Maybe it’s because he comes from a family of seven and has more than 25 nieces and nephews of Aqua Kids age. Or maybe it’s because, like the legendary Peter Pan, Bilal sees things exactly as kids do. Whatever the reason, he arrived at Aqua Kids with five years of television experience, hosting everything from hip-hop to home-improvement programming. Now, Bilal has truly become one of the Aqua Kids, and he looks forward to lots of great learning adventures with his pals.
