Imagine a fishing tournament where it takes at least a 300-pound haul to win—and that’s just two fish! That’s what the Professional Tarpon Tournament Series is about. The contest runs six weeks with 50 four-person teams. There are five qualifying tournaments and one championship. The action is fast and furious, and these fierce fighting fish are man-size—weighing anywhere from 130 to 188 pounds!
The rules are simple: The team with the highest two-fish combined weight wins. The diverse teams battle gunwale to gunwale in the warm waters of Boca Grande Pass, south of Tampa Bay, Florida. During the series, you’ll meet some of the team members and get pro pointers—tips to help you fish your best.
