Water Channel's Sailboat Showcase

About the Show
When it comes to picking out a sailboat, there's a mind-boggling selection from which to choose. It's hard just to figure out where to start your search. Well, the Water Channel is here to help. Our series, Sailboat Showcases, gets you up close looks that'll help you choose the vessel that's right for you and yours. On this edition we feature three very different watercraft – they're all categorized as sailboats, but they're about as varied in form and function as sailboats can be.

First up is one of the most elegant sailing yachts in the world, the Amel 54. Produced in France, this paradigm of beauty and grace is also one of the easiest and safest blue water boats in the world to pilot. Add world class amenities and unsurpassed quality of construction and you have one of the most appealing boats ever built.

Then we'll take you aboard the Lagoon 500, a spectacular catamaran with a difference. Its unique fly-bridge and salon with a 180 degree view are just starters. This twin-hull is designed to be easy to pilot, incredibly stable, and a real home away from home. The staterooms are sumptuous and the living is easy.

Finally, we'll introduce you to the Colgate 26 – the versatile day sailor chosen by the Naval and Coast Guard Academies to train their cadets. Designed and built by Steve Colgate, who's been teaching sailing since the 60s, this stable, well-built craft is an excellent introduction to seamanship and can even be raced.

Set sail with the latest edition of the Water Channel's Sailboat Showcase – if you're in the market for a sailboat, daydreaming about one, or just love to look at them, this is the show for you.
